Alignment Health Plan hasn’t added Luminopia to its standard pharmacy formulary, but if your insurance is provided through a self-funded employer, your employer can choose to opt in to cover Luminopia.

What “Might Cover” means for your family

Many large employers self-fund their health plans, which means they have the authority to add or remove medications from their plan’s pharmacy formulary. If your employer opts in to Luminopia coverage, Alignment Health Plan will administer the benefit just like any other covered prescription.

How to Pursue Coverage

Step 1 — Talk to Your Doctor About Luminopia

Ask your child’s eye doctor if Luminopia is right for them. If your doctor is unfamiliar with prescribing Luminopia, they can visit the Healthcare Professional tab on our website for additional information.

What if my employer doesn’t opt in?

If your employer chooses not to add Luminopia to the formulary, the Luminopia Patient Access Program can help your family access therapy regardless of insurance. Our partner pharmacy will walk you through your options.
